The German Interior Minister intends to create a cyber dome over the country

The German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt intends to cooperate with Israel to create a “cyber dome” over Germany.

“The Minister of the Interior wants to create a ‘cyber dome’ for Germany and has outlined five specific points for a security and cybersecurity pact with Israel,” Bild reported following Dobrindt’s visit to Bat Yam in Israel.

According to reports, Dobrindt intends to expand cooperation with Israel in the field of cybersecurity, strengthen Germany’s civil defense and warning system, and enhance the joint work of the two countries’ intelligence and security agencies.

Additionally, the minister has advocated for the establishment of a joint cybersecurity research center and the expansion of Germany’s drone defense capabilities.

“Military defense alone is not enough to achieve a security breakthrough. To enhance overall defense capabilities, a comprehensive modernization of civil defense is also necessary,” Dobrindt stated.
