The Iranian president called the condition of Tehran’s obligations under the agreement with the United States

Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said that Tehran will fulfill its obligations under the agreement with the United States if Washington fulfills its obligations.

“If the American side adheres to the agreement, we will also fulfill our obligations… Our approach to reckless saber-rattling and baseless threats is to rely on rationality and human dignity when making decisions, and when the time comes to act, defend ourselves decisively and fearlessly,” Peseshkian was quoted as saying by Press TV.

On the night of June 18, Iran and the United States remotely signed a memorandum that presupposes the end of the military conflict that began on February 28.

The memorandum also sets a timeline for when the United States will lift the naval blockade and Iran will restore navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

In addition, Iran undertakes not to obtain nuclear weapons, and the issue of the Iranian nuclear program should be settled by a separate agreement.

The parties will hold negotiations on this issue within 60 days. For Tehran, the result should be the lifting of anti-Iranian sanctions.
