Tokayev expressed hope for strengthening relations between Kazakhstan and Britain.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in congratulating Rishi Sunak on his appointment as Prime Minister of Great Britain, expressed hope for strengthening relations between the two countries in the political and economic spheres.

According to Tokayev’s press service, the head of state expressed confidence that Sunak’s leadership qualities and reform program “will play a decisive role in building an even stronger and more stable Britain.”

“Kazakhstan highly appreciates the long-term strategic partnership with the UK, based on strong ties of friendship, mutual respect and trust. I look forward to our cooperation to strengthen political and economic relations and open up new opportunities for further growth for the benefit of our friendly states,” the telegram says.
