Trump declared the United States a country of decline and a laughingstock

The United States of America over the past two years has been so seriously shaken that it has become a laughing stock, former President Donald Trump said at a rally in Illinois.

The former head of the White House lashed out at current leader Joe Biden and his administration, accusing them of losing Washington’s economic and political advantage on the world stage.

“This is no longer a great country, this is a country of decline. I hate to tell you this. This is a country with the highest inflation rate in 40 years, the highest fuel prices in history. We have never had an energy situation like this. We are no longer energy independent, even a dominant state, as it was just two years ago,” he said.

Trump recalled that during the years of Biden’s presidency, the United States lost freedom of speech and an independent press, faced a sharp increase in crime and mortality, a surge in illegal migration and an economic collapse.

“But perhaps the most important thing is that over the past two years, the country has ceased to be listened to and respected. In many ways, it has become a laughingstock,” the former head of state stated.

Due to the policy of anti-Russian sanctions, the disruption of supply chains has led to economic problems in America and Europe, which are faced with an unprecedented increase in fuel and food prices. In the United States, for example, inflation accelerated to 8.6 percent in May, the highest since December 1981, and gasoline prices rose above $5 a gallon for the first time in history on June 10.
