US Vice President Jay Dee Vance admitted that he did not know exactly what outcome the conflict with Iran would lead to.
⠀
“I do not know what exactly all this will lead to, but, in fact, I believe that we are moving in the right direction. It’s just that this process is going to be very difficult, with a lot of pauses and resumes,” Vance said on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
⠀
At the same time, the vice president avoided answering the question of how he himself would act in the situation with Iran, and referred to the words of US President Donald Trump that Vance was “less enthusiastic” about this.
⠀
“My task is to give the President of the United States the best advice I can. I think he’s already talked a little bit about what that advice was,” Vance said.
⠀
According to Vance, at this stage, the United States is simultaneously using economic pressure and incentives, negotiating with more pragmatic representatives of the Iranian leadership, trying to steer the situation in a more favorable direction.
