The survey showed how Americans feel about the war against Iran

Four out of five Americans believe that the military conflict between the United States and Iran will be prolonged, according to a survey by Reuters and the Ipsos research company.

The United States has resumed attacks on Iranian facilities since the end of June, allegedly in response to Iran’s attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. American leader Donald Trump said on Monday that the United States was reimposing a naval blockade against Iran.

According to the survey results, 79% of respondents believe that the conflict in Iran will be long-lasting. At the same time, 65% had a similar opinion in March.

Only 18% of respondents said that, in their opinion, the war “will end pretty quickly, within a few weeks.”

Only 37% of the survey participants approved of the resumption of American strikes on Iran.

The survey was conducted from July 10 to July 12, and 1,019 people took part in it. The approximate margin of error is 4 percentage points.
