The number of victims of the latest US strikes on Iran has increased to 17, more than 100 people were injured, Hossein Kermanpour, head of the press service of the Iranian Ministry of Health said.

Earlier, he reported 14 dead and 78 injured.

“During the air attacks on six cities of the country on July 8-9, 115 people were injured, among them two women. 14 operations were performed, 102 people received medical care and were discharged. Unfortunately, 17 compatriots died, one of them a woman,” he wrote on the social network X.

On July 8-9, the US military carried out a series of powerful strikes against Iran. The Central Command of the US Armed Forces claimed that this was allegedly done in response to Iran’s actions against commercial vessels that crossed the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian military responded with strikes on US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.

This is the second case of escalation of the conflict between Iran and the United States after the conclusion of the memorandum on the cessation of hostilities in mid-June.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the cease-fire was no longer valid.
