The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided not to go to Rio for the Olympiad because of their concerns regarding the Zika virus. Prince Harry supported them in their decision, and, according to Kensington Palace spokesman, admitted it is ‘unlikely’ their Royal Highnesses will change their opinion.

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry would attend the Olympic Games: Rio de Janeiro became too dangerous for visiting it. The virus of Zika is still scaring the people, many athletes from the different countries prefer to pass the OI 2016 to avoid the risk of Zika infection.

William and Kate decided not to go to Rio this summer because of fears over the Zika virus. By the way, other European royal families support such a decision. Albert and Charlene from Monaco, both ex-athletes, will pass this year OI because they have ‘important health concerns’. Prince Albert added that his spouse Charlene doesn’t like what she’s been reading and hearing about the Zika at all.
