Ukrainian President Zelensky will be invited to the NATO summit in Madrid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be invited to the NATO summit to be held in Madrid on June 28-30.

The Spanish government is completing preparations for the summit, but its final program has not yet been approved by the leadership of the alliance. After that, Zelensky will be given an invitation.

The meeting will be held in three pavilions of the IFEMA exhibition complex. It is expected that the summit will be attended by about 5 thousand people – political leaders, members of delegations and organizations, as well as journalists. The meeting is planned to be attended by 30 heads of state, as well as the leaders of Japan, Australia, Austria, New Zealand, South Korea, Finland, Ireland, Cyprus, Malta and Sweden. In addition, the leaders of European institutions are expected to attend the summit.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the country does not expect any significant decisions from the NATO summit on providing assistance to Ukraine or on Black Sea security. He also called the accusations against him baseless because of the criticism of the alliance.
