The US will block access to China’s software for the design of modern chips

Details on how Washington intends to limit progress in Beijing were reported by specialists of the Protocol portal. It turned out that the administration of President Joe Biden is considering a new ban, which has been preparing for several months. It is under review by the Office of Management and Budget and could be operational within a few weeks, sources said. Once it enters into force, China will not be able to use the most advanced software that is actively used in the production of current semiconductors.
