Finland announced the possibility of closing the airspace of Ukraine.

The head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Pekka Haavisto, announced the possibility of closing the airspace of Ukraine after the emergency in Poland, this issue will be considered as one of the options for responding to the incident.

The Guardian previously wrote that the Baltic countries in connection with the incident are in favor of establishing a no-fly zone over Western Ukraine. But, the newspaper believes, the US and other NATO allies will resist this proposal.

“Certainly, the closure of the airspace will be discussed. Different options are being considered on how to protect Ukraine,” he said at a press briefing for Finnish journalists on Wednesday morning when asked whether the possibility of closing the airspace of Ukraine would be discussed.
