The EC has created a center for “prosecution for the crime of aggression in Ukraine.”

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at a joint press conference in Kyiv with Volodymyr Zelensky, announced the creation of an “international center for the prosecution of the crime of aggression in Ukraine.”

“Russia must be held accountable in the courts… Prosecutors from the EU and Ukraine are already working together collecting evidence. As a first step, I am pleased to announce the creation of an international center for the prosecution of the crime of aggression in Ukraine… This center will coordinate the collection of evidence, it will be supported by a joint team of investigators under the auspices of Eurojust,” the head of the EC said.

Earlier, the EU has repeatedly spoken out in favor of creating a so-called international “special tribunal” for Ukraine.
