An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck Indonesia on Thursday, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

According to him, the earthquake was recorded at 06.28 UTC. The epicenter of the tremors was located 10 kilometers from the city of Jayapura (Indonesian province of Papua). The source lay at a depth of 43 kilometers.
