Armenia announced the wounded during the shelling on the border with Azerbaijan.

The number of Armenian soldiers wounded as a result of shelling on the border with Azerbaijan has grown to four, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

“As of 10.25 a.m., the decrease in tension in the direction of Sotk continues. As of the same hour, the situation in the remaining sections of the border is relatively stable. As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation from the Armenian side, as of 10.25 a.m., there are four wounded,” the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that the state of health of two servicemen is assessed as satisfactory, the other two – of moderate severity. “The lives of the wounded servicemen are not currently in danger,” the Defense Ministry said.

Armenia and Azerbaijan on Thursday accused each other of shelling on the border. According to the Azerbaijani side, one soldier was seriously wounded.

Yerevan and Baku last year, with the mediation of Russia, the United States and the European Union, began discussing a future peace treaty. In early February of this year, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that Armenia received Azerbaijan’s next proposals on a peace treaty and is studying them. Later, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan, in turn, also submitted proposals on a peace treaty to Baku.
