Barack Obama created a great heritage for the pop-culture

Barack Obama created a great heritage for the pop-culture

Barack Obama could create a controversial impression as a President, but people wouldn’t argue he will be memorized by Americans. Particularly, he achieved a status of the “most meme-able President”.

The former President gave Internet users enough content for memes, potentially viral videos and other types of an “online-art”. Barack Obama isn’t the only politician that caught an attention of the Internet society. However, the former Democratic President stands out against them because of his efforts to create an image of the good, family guy and readiness to laugh at himself.

Obama’s presidency had many cases that got a second life on the Internet. Vogue provided several such examples. One of them was the interview for the CNBC, when the President demonstrated his agility and caught a fly. Obama’s actions were met with applause of the reporter and the camera crew. Many people also remembered how he dropped the microphone during the Correspondents’ dinner in the White House.

While the former President is always ready to laugh at himself, he knows when he should be serious too. Obama showed this ability in different cases like the press conference where he spoke about the situation in Aleppo. The President commented events:

“I always feel responsible. I felt responsible when kids were being shot by snipers… I ask myself every single day, Is there something I could do that would save lives and make a difference and spare some child who doesn’t deserve to suffer?” – was adept at handling the ribbing and the rubs with as much grace as when he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.

Barack Obama moves to the new office

As he left the President’s post, Obama should move out of the White House. However, his family won’t leave Washington, DC. Obama plans to move to a nice suburban mansion with his wife Michelle. The red-brick house they chose was a property of ex-President Bill Clinton’s press secretary, Joe Lockhart. The realty’s size is around 8,200 square feet and it has 9 bedrooms, several garages and other rooms. New owners plan to remodel the place, which price is around $5 million. For example, the house will contain a temporary office that will replace one of the garages.

The huge home sits right on a public street, but has plenty of space in a paved side lot for the Obama’s lifelong Secret Service detail to operate out of.
