Chinese Foreign Ministry about the US project on sanctions on the purchase of oil from Russia

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said at a briefing that China is dissatisfied with US attempts to limit cooperation between Russia and China.

“We strongly oppose illegal unilateral sanctions and the use of extraterritorial jurisdiction,” the diplomat said.

The diplomat assures that relations between Russia and Beijing are exceptionally friendly, and trade and economic cooperation is based on mutual respect and trust. Such cooperation is not a threat to third countries.
