Korn recruit 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist for tour

Metallica has the great plans for the year, during the South American live dates, the rock band will perform with one new member – 12-year-old Tye Trujillo will replace Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu. Tye is a son of Metallica’s bassist Robert Trujillo, and this young musician has a really great start!

Metallica’s members are getting younger and younger, last Saturday, Korn wrote on his Twitter that rock band announced that the 12-year-old sd will perform during Metallica’s tour in South America. The 12-year-old Tye Trujillo will join the band, and bassist Robert Trujillo is really proud of his gifted son.

The South American tour and the concerts of the legendary rock band will take place in several countries like Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Next week, Metallica begins it, this time without Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu. The 12-year-old Tye Trujillo will replace the bassist in April, the boy plays in a band ‘The Helmets’, and his skills are amazing, Korn said.

A statement from the band says that Fieldy is unable to make the shows due to unforeseen family circumstances but will join the group’s tour again in May. In particular, Korn wrote Fieldy will be back to the stage in May.
