Russian energy resources for China increased by 75%

Russian energy resources for China increased by 75%, which is more than 6 billion dollars. 

Purchases of oil, gas and coal jumped 75% in April, to more than $6 billion, even as demand growth slowed due to the virus.

It is also reported that imports of Russian LNG grew by 80% year-on-year, to 463,000 tons. Oil imports increased by 4% compared to last year and amounted to 6.55 million tons. Coal imports fell 14% to 3.82 million tons. Copper imports decreased by 39%, to 18.871 thousand tons, nickel – jumped almost three times, to 1.738 thousand tons, aluminum – almost doubled, to 31.218 thousand tons. And wheat imports fell by 81%, to 2.99 thousand tons.

Based on the analysis, the increase in purchase prices provoked a conflict in Ukraine. Now it is 6.42 billion dollars.

Last Thursday, China discussed with Russia the purchase of oil for a strategic reserve.
