The practical stage of the exercises with the troops of NATO countries was held in Armenia

The practical stage of the Eagle Partner exercises with the participation of Armenian, American, French and Greek military personnel was held in Armenia on Tuesday, the press service of the country’s Defense Ministry reported.

It is noted that the location of the maneuvers, the Zar Training Center, was visited on June 23 by Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, Chief of the General Staff Edward Asrian, U.S. Charge d’affaires David Allen, French and Greek Ambassadors to Yerevan Olivier Decottigny and Christos Sofianopoulos, as well as the head of the Joint Staff of the Kansas National Guard Brigadier General Jason Knobi, Chief of the The Headquarters of Ground Operations in Europe, Colonel Paul Courtier, military attaches accredited in Armenia.

“The invited guests observed the practical stage of the exercises, got acquainted with the ongoing trainings and the actions of the units involved in preparing for international peacekeeping missions,” the message says.

The military personnel of the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces, the Kansas National Guard, as well as the armed forces of France and Greece are participating in the exercises.

 


According to the Ministry of Defense, special attention is being paid to improving the professional skills needed during international peacekeeping missions, improving unit compatibility and developing the ability to respond quickly and effectively in various situations.


The exercises, which started on June 17, will end on June 25.
