The German Foreign Minister stated the need to facilitate negotiations on Ukraine

Europe has a clear task to facilitate the start of negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict, German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl said.

“Recently, the United States has been showing less active involvement in the Ukrainian issue. Therefore, we, the Europeans, have not only the opportunity, but also a clear task to participate (in this issue),” Vadefoul said in an interview with the RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (RND) media group, answering the question of whether Europe has the ability to decide anything after the United States seized the initiative in negotiations.

Speaking about the format of future negotiations, the minister noted that Germany does not adhere to certain dogmas and takes into account the opinion of partners, as well as takes into account pan-European interests. Vadefoul added that the main goal is to find a way to dialogue.
