The US Central Command has confirmed the strikes on Iran

The Central Command of the US Armed Forces has confirmed strikes against Iran in response to an alleged attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, a statement said.

“On June twenty-sixth, the forces of the US Central Command attacked Iranian facilities as a decisive response to the attack on a commercial ship sailing through the Strait of Hormuz the day before,” the report said.

It is specified that the strikes were carried out by an American aircraft on Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, as well as on coastal radar positions.

Iran and the United States remotely signed a memorandum of understanding on the night of June 18. It provides for a cease-fire on all fronts, including the Israeli operation in Lebanon, and also sets the time frame for lifting the naval blockade and restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

In addition, Iran undertakes not to create nuclear weapons, and the issue of the atomic program should be settled by a separate agreement. The parties will hold negotiations on this issue within 60 days. For Tehran, the result should be the lifting of sanctions.
