McGregor allowed himself to throw the bottle and was punished for such a behaviour. Now the initial penalty significantly reduced.

Conor McGregor’s penalty for the incident with a bottle in October press conference cost him $75,000 fine and 50 hours. However, MAC decided to rehear this case and it recent verdict is much milder, for misbehave Conor got $25,000 fine and 25 hours of community service.

The meeting of the NAC took place on Wednesday, prior to reducing the punishment, the UFC management took into account that McGregor-Diaz bottle-throwing was rather useful for the UFC 202. The incident was actively promoted on various media, and made that fight week as successful as never before. As a result, in commercial terms, that UFC 202 become one of the highest-selling UFC pay-per-views of all-time.

McGregor’s reaction to the $75,000 fine and 50 hours was predictable, the Dubliner said,

“Whatever, it is what it is. Good luck trying to get it. I don’t see Nevada in my future, for the foreseeable future is how I see it. I’m free to do what I want.”
