President Trump confirmed on Thursday that he would be willing to step in and mediate a dispute among the Gulf states. During this week, the American leader did his best to settle the conflict between Qatar and two the US-allied countries, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Donald Trump promised that a deal on the reconciliation of Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar can come quickly. The US leader had rather a tough Friday, he spoke separately with the key persons like Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Sheikh, and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh. As the White House statement reads, the American leader assured all them that the regional stability in the Middle East is the most precious thing.

That’s why the United States see the unity among the Arab partners as vital to promoting regional stability and countering the threat of Iran.

“The president also emphasized that all countries must follow through on commitments from the Riyadh Summit to defeat terrorism, cut off funding for terrorist groups, and combat extremist ideology,”
