Argentine president in self-isolation for suspected corona infection

Argentine President Alberto Fernandez reportedly got a coronavirus infection. His antigen test for COVID-19 was positive on Saturday.

Fernandez now is self-isolation, according to his Twitter. The presidential message revealed he is developing a mild fever and slight headache. Staying at home, the Argentinian leader is awaiting further confirmation from more conclusive testing.

The announcement came on the day of Alberto Fernandez’s 62nd birthday who was inoculated on January 21. He preferred to use the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine just a day after the country’s health regulator approved the Russian-made drug for use among those aged 60 and older, CGTN reported.
