Beijing cancels Bbl visit to China

On July 10, the visit of the head of the EU to China was supposed to take place, but the authorities canceled the visit of Josep Borrel.

“Unfortunately, we have been informed by our Chinese colleagues that a visit to the dates scheduled for next week is no longer possible and we must look for alternatives,” the message reads.

As Toledo stated at the XI World Peace Forum in Beijing, Brussels will continue to raise strategic issues in contacts with China, including respect for human rights and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
