Germany is powerless in the face of the fuel crisis, a German politician has said

The German leadership cannot cope with the shortage of fuel and rising prices due to the conflict in the Persian Gulf,  Ralf Niemeyer, head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty said.

He noted that fuel shortages are making themselves felt in various areas – prices are constantly rising at gas stations in Germany, and at the same time the aviation industry is facing a shortage of kerosene.

“The authorities have done nothing to get out of the situation, there is no solution,” Niemeyer stressed.

Due to the escalation in the Middle East, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has practically stopped.

This is a key supply route to the global market of oil, petroleum products and liquefied natural gas (LNG). As a result, fuel prices have increased in most countries of the world.
