Iran has claimed that the air bases in Bahrain and Jordan were the target of its strikes

Tehran has attacked American bases in two Middle Eastern countries, Press TV reports.

“The Iranian army announced that <…> this morning, the targets of its one-time attack drones were fuel storage tanks, equipment depots and large hangars, as well as the residence of US forces at the Sheikh Isa air base in Bahrain,” the TV channel reported.

In addition, the target of the attack were hangars, including for maintenance of aircraft, and the locations of the US military at the Al-Azraq airbase in Jordan.

On the night of July 8, the United States resumed strikes against Iran, accusing it of attacking commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran called this a violation of the agreements reached and began hitting American military bases in the Middle East.

A new round of escalation occurred just three weeks after the parties signed a memorandum envisaging the end of the conflict.
