NATO fighter jets shot down a drone over Latvia

NATO fighter jets shot down a drone in Latvian airspace, the Latvian armed forces reported.

On Monday morning, the Latvian armed forces announced an air alert in three regions bordering Russia. Half an hour after the alarm was announced, it was canceled.

“Allied fighters successfully shot down a drone that entered Latvian airspace,” the press service of the Latvian army reported on the social network.

In recent weeks, cases of Ukrainian drones falling off course on the territory of the Baltic States have become more frequent. Overflights of Ukrainian drones have been repeatedly recorded in the airspace of European countries.
