Tesla is making the dream a reality, its new model S P100D with Ludicrous mode is the fastest accelerating production car ever produced. Actually, this model is the 3rd fastest one, the new Tesla Model S is equipped with a motor, which makes 60 mph time within 2.5 seconds.
