Syrian, Russian warplanes bomb Aleppo, 70 civilians reported dead

More than 70 civilians were killed, dozens more wounded–that is the result of the bombing Aleppo with warplanes of Syria and Russia. The massive air raids registered in the neighbourhoods of Bustan al-Qasr, Ard al-Hamra and Sakhour, ARA News reports.

The warplanes of Russia and Syria were bombing on Saturday Aleppo City, the allies’ air forces launched air strikes, which is killing and wounding dozens of civilians.According to the information of Syrian activists, at least 70 people killed and more got injuries.

The airstrikes hit eastern Aleppo, this part of the city known as an opposition-held place. Wael Ahmed, local media activist, told that al-Assaad regime and Russian militaries carried out at least seven strikes on Saturday. Such a massive bombings caused the death and injury of dozens of people.

Saad Issa, a member of the Civil Defence Force in Aleppo, informed that 72 dead bodies were found on Sunday in the morning, 35 strikes’ victims were seriously wounded. So far, the rescue teams are still searching for victims under the ruins. The airstrikes destroyed many buildings in the east part of Aleppo.

A human rights activist Sulaiman Halwani believes that Syrian-Russian militaries only targeted populated areas and residential buildings, “with a clear goal to force the people to evacuate their homes.”
