The United States lifted sanctions against four Indian companies

The United States has lifted sanctions against four Indian companies that were targeted due to measures related to Russia, the local Hindustan Times newspaper reports.

According to the newspaper, the United States lifted sanctions against companies from India two years after they were included in the sanctions list of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

“The U.S. Treasury Department has removed four Indian companies from its sanctions list (SDN) as part of the latest sanctions update,” the Hindustan Times wrote.

According to the newspaper, Indian companies RRG Engineering Technologies Private Limited, Lokesh Machines Limited, Galaxy Bearings Ltd and Shaurya Aeronautics Private Limited, located in Hyderabad, were excluded from the US sanctions list.

In 2024, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions on 21 entities from India, including 19 companies and two individuals, over allegations of “providing financial, material, technological or other support to the Russian government.”
