Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan agree to ‘super fight’ in April

The Philippines boxer and the multiple world champion Manny Pacquiao announced on his Twitter the great news. On 23 April, he will fight with the British Amir Khan.

Manni Pacquiao is 38 years old, and his career is on the peak. The Philippines athlete is going to fight with the UK’s Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan. The ‘super fight’ set on 23 April but the place of it is still unknown.

On Sunday, Pacquiao wrote on his Twitter that both boxers’ team has already confirmed their intentions to appear in a ‘super fight’. In fact, the managers of the Filipino previously have the negotiations with another boxer from Australian Jeff Horn.

The Australian welterweight’s dream fight was slated for the same date in April with Brisbane a likely host, but the school teacher’s hopes have now been extinguished.

“Negotiations between team Pacquiao and team Khan have come to terms for the April 23 bout as this is what the fans wanted,”

Pacquiao tweeted, and Khan answered:

“My team and I have agreed terms with Manny Pacquiao and his team for a super fight.

The much bigger Mexican proved too powerful and the Briton was knocked out in the sixth round and he is likely to drop back to welterweight to fight Pacquiao, who holds the World Boxing Organisation title at the weight.
