Gator That Snatched 2-Year-Old Boy at Disney World Has Been Killed, Confirmed at Florida Wildlife

According to the statement of officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the gator responsible for the death of Lane Graves on June 16 has been killed. In the text of the statement said that the predator “removed” from Disney World’s Seven Seas Lagoon and euthanized.

On Wednesday the FWC stated that predator that snatched 2-years-old boy on June 16, was killed. The experts confirmed that an alligator has been euthanized, it is common practice for the animals who became uncontrolled and dangerous to the visitors of Lagoon.

Nick Wiley, an Executive director of the FWC, expressed his condolence to the family of Graves, whose boy died on June 16 because of alligator attack:

“There are no words to describe the profound sadness we feel for the family of Lane Graves. We will continue to keep this family close to our hearts as they deal with the pain and grief of the loss of Lane.”

Lane’s family had no immediate comment on the news, but boy’s parents decided to establish a special ‘Lane Thomas Foundation’ to honor the memory of their beloved son.
