Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO and an inspirer, intends to do even more for his Falcon 9 rockets. The American inventor will go further in the reuse of his rockets, which has successfully landed.
Elon Musk has plenty ideas regarding the rockets Falcon 9, the engineer wants to recycle them. In fact, he is going to use multiple times the first stage of a Falcon 9 rocket that was recycled from a previous flight. If Mr Musk will cope with this complex task, space activities will become more cheaper and effective.
On Friday, Elon Musk wrote on his Twitter that he is looking into a test to bring back to Earth platform the second stage of Falcon 9 Heavy rocket – for reuse! According to SpaceX CEO, he’ll be able to do it when the heavy rocket debuts late in the summer.
On Thursday, Musk’s SpaceX blasted off the recycled Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage (so-called booster), a feat that could significantly decrease the cost of space travel.
“Considering trying to bring upper stage back on Falcon Heavy demo flight for full reusability. Odds of success low, but maybe worth a shot,”
wrote Elon, adding that
“Falcon Heavy test flight currently scheduled for late summer.”
Manny engineers are criticising Elon Musk and his totally crazy ideas, but SpaceX CEO never looks back! His minds sometimes very often are ahead of times, indeed.
