Tajikistan and China have signed an agreement on eternal good neighborliness and friendship

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed an agreement on eternal good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between the two countries following talks in Beijing, the press service of the Tajik leader reports.

“Following the results of high-level meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and China, 31 new cooperation documents were signed. Heads of state Emomali Rahmon and Xi Jinping signed a joint statement by Tajikistan and China on deepening comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership in a new era, as well as an agreement on eternal good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between the two countries,” the statement said.

Among the signed documents are the cooperation program of the two countries’ Foreign Ministries for 2027-2028 and the memorandum of cooperation for 2026-2028 between the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China and the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Tajikistan.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China will expand cooperation in the field of scientific and technical innovations in the field of artificial intelligence. An action plan to strengthen investment cooperation in the field of “green” mineral resources was also signed by the Ministries of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Commerce of China, and the Export Agency of Tajikistan and the Export Development Bureau of China will also cooperate.

 


In addition, the two countries will conduct a feasibility study on the reconstruction of the Kulma border crossing infrastructure on the border of the two countries and establish a Business Council.
