The IMF sees no need for new financial assistance to Argentina

The International Monetary Fund does not see conditions for Argentina to again resort to new financial assistance from the fund,  its head Kristalina Georgieva said.

She is on a visit to Argentina, where she will hold a meeting with the Minister of Economy and the President of the country.

“I don’t see the need for Argentina to ask for additional funding from the fund again… The country is on a good path,” Georgieva told reporters.

She noted that Argentina is in a stronger financial position, which is the result of the hard work of the Government.
