Waste-processing solution decomposes any kind of solid waste into carbon

With the help of innovative technology, any kind of solid waste could be transformed into carbon. The carbonization technology and a hydrocyclone process are ecological and sustainable alternative to current waste-management processes, Springwise reported on Tuesday.

The Indonesian researchers have presented a waste processing solution to efficiently decompose solid waste into carbon. The original process is equally important for industries and the environment. As the company inventor says, their tech gains popularity in organic agriculture, among others.

Sampangan, the Indonesia-based company, utilises carbonisation technology (heat radiation), invented by Dr Ishenny, to turn organic and inorganic waste into carbon. Thanks to a hydrocyclone process, the smoke from the combustion into water steam is just disappearing with no harm for lungs or air.

As carbon can work as a natural fertiliser, soil conditioner, fuel and more, carbonisation technologies provide solutions to waste management and agriculture, the environment and energy conservation simultaneously.

The UN highly appreciated the hydrocyclon technology as waste-processing solution

The Indonesian company has been nominated by the UNDP as one of ten entrepreneurial ventures to join the global Accelerate2030, currently provides waste processing to local authorities across four cities like South Sumatera, Jakarta, Bali, Tarakan.

Sampangan’s ambitions aim also to solve waste problems across Southeast Asia. Frankly, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Suriname urgently need such a kind of waste-processing.

According to the UN data, about 2.01 billion metric tons of municipal solid waste is produced worldwide annually, with 50 per cent managed inefficiently and dumped on land, or in rivers and seas. So, this kills marine life and releases toxins into our soil, affecting groundwater reservoirs.
