Ghana rolls out the red carpet for Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla as they touch down

Ghana welcomes the British monarch’s son and his wife in Accra. As Daily Mail understood, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have started their three-day royal overseas tour.

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla stepped onto the tarmac at Kotoka International Airport to the sounds of a military parade. Duchess Camilla has was traditionally shielding herself from the UV-rays with a parasol, her off-white outfit looked pretty coordinated with the dress of the first lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Upon the arrival, Duchess was presented with a colourful bunch of flowers on the red carpet. Later, the royals were officially welcomed by the Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo, and his wife at the presidential palace, Jubilee House.

On Friday Camilla had opted for a floaty cream dress, nude heels and a basket-effect bag to make the trip to Ghana, while Prince Charles wore a khaki suit and military badges. Later Charles was joined by his brother Prince Edward, the tenth in line of succession to the British throne.

The royals where they laid wreaths at The Christiansborg War Cemetery. Camilla, Charles and Edward were escorted through the Memorial Garden and received by Ghanian leader where they paid their respects to the fallen.
